What is the issue?
Our future depends on our students. As County Executive, I have a legal obligation to ensure they have access to safe, functional facilities. My leadership will move us away from “tax and spend” policies toward a disciplined approach where every dollar is justified, every investment is measured, and resources are focused on improving outcomes for students. I will work to ensure that Montgomery County Public Schools puts students first—prioritizing classroom success, school safety, fiscal responsibility, and accountability while giving families confidence that their tax dollars are being used effectively.

What it means for you
- Improve Outcomes for Students
- Redirect focus toward "Student First" policies, ensuring budget increases translate into classroom success rather than administrative growth.
- Independent Inspector General reporting to MCPS Board of Education
- Fully fund school resource officers (SROs) in every MCPS High School
- Temper MCPS’ request for funding to reflect current economic conditions and changing student enrollment
- Re-align MCPS’ employee benefits to mirror surrounding school districts in Maryland
